Kindergarten News for the week of October 31st - November 4th

Kindergarten News for the week of October 31st – November 4th
This week in phonics we will be learning the letter Nn as in nest. We will have show and tell on Thursday!
In math we will be ordering 0-10 number cards and recognizing a missing number, identifying the days of the week, solving a problem by looking for a pattern and identifying and counting pennies.
In reading we will be reading the story Animal Babies in Grasslands. This is a life science concept book text and we will learn the concept of main idea.
The parent/teacher conferences have been schedule for Tuesday – November 1st. If you didn’t request a conference and would like one, you can still join us for the 4:00 or 4:30 group sessions. If you wish to schedule an individual conference after you see the report card, you can contact me then.
I would like to thank our homeroom mothers for volunteering to plan and help at our wonderful Halloween party for the children today and helping with the parade. Dressing 26 kindergarten kids and keeping them in a parade isn’t the easiest task! Anyone still wishing to help at the Christmas party is welcome!
Friday – November 4th is report card day. Enjoy your child’s card and celebrate their success!
Monday- October 31st will be day 4 of our rotation schedule!
Our class received a treat bag from PTO for the most Campbell’s soup labels collected in the month of September.
