Our New Week:
Monday will be day 4, art with Miss Pasco. Monday lunch will be hamburger, cheeseburger, meatball sub, or chicken wrap. Friday will be gym again.
We will be working with the letter Pp and reviewing Ll, Oo, Gg, Hh and Tt. We are now sounding out and spelling words with these letters. Thursday is our ‘Pp’ show-and-tell. Friday will be our ¬Pajama Party! Children may come to school wearing their pajamas. They can change into bedroom slippers, but should wear regular shoes for coming, going, and gym.
We finished reading Julius in Reading. Your child should know the meaning and be using the words crate, granddaddy, scary, protect, sneaked, and sharing. We also practiced counting syllables and rhyming as well as identifying the characters, sequence, and setting.
In math we will continue working with the calendar, AB patterns, sorting, ordering the numbers 0-10 and practicing counting backwards from 10 to 1. We will also explore the words more, fewer, and equal.
We are kidwriting everyday after recess. The children are doing a great job expressing themselves through drawings and their new writing skills.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Gustitus
