Kindergarten News

Kindergarten news for the first week in October

There is no school for students on Monday- October 8th!  We have a teacher in-service day!  Enjoy your long fall weekend!

On Thursday next week, we will have our annual fall festival!  We are really looking forward to it!  Let’s hope for good weather!  We will still have the fall festival if it rains.  We will just move it inside!  Children may wear uniform gym clothes.  (No jeans.)

On Friday we will have our kindergarten pajama party.  Your child will be able to wear his/her pajamas to school.  Please have them wear sneakers, but they can bring bedroom slippers if the wish!  We have gym that day also!

We will not be learning a new letter next week so there will be no show and tell.  Our next letter will be the letter “Aa” as in apple.

Kindergarten does not get progress reports at any time during the year!  We will get report cards 4 times during the year!  Sorry for any confusion!

Please note that on the new calendar that is in your child’s folder today, there are 2 day 2’s listed.  Really, it should have a day “nothing” for Oct. 11th because we have a special program and no one will have their regular special.  The special days will continue on the 12th with day 2.

Please keep your schedule of special dress up days for red ribbon week.  This will be held on the week starting with October 22nd.

The school store will be selling rubber pink bracelets for $2.00  Proceeds will go to Mrs. Deb Welker.

Kindergarten message for October 1st

I  forgot to send home a message in the newsletter!  The last planning meeting for our fall festival will be on Thursday- October 4th at 6:00 at the pavilion behind the school.  If it rains the meeting will be in Miss Smith's classroom (enter through the playground door.)
Also, money for the fall festival needs to be turned in before the day of the festival.  The parents need this to purchase items needed for this day!
Thank you!
