Kindergarten
Newsletter for the week of May 6th-10th
We will have another busy week in kindergarten! We will review concepts for our report cards
and continue learning phonics rules!
In phonics we are learning the long vowel, consonant sneaky e
lessons. We will now learn other sounds
like or, ar, ch, ee etc. These will make us better readers! Watch for some more take home readers!
In
reading we are reading the story The House that Tony Lives In. This is a fictional story and we will discuss
the setting of the story.
Important
dates: Tuesday- May 28th at 6:00 pm we will have our kindergarten
graduation in the high school auditorium.
Thursday- May 23rd will be our kindergarten field trip! We can’t wait! Please return your permission slips as soon
as possible.
Friday- May 24th is our
carnival.
Your child should have brought
home a calendar if they have a summer birthday.
I gave each child a special day to celebrate during school so that they
can be the leader, wear a crown and bring treats if you wish!
Please send in your dvd orders by
Wednesday if you would like to purchase one.
No orders will be taken after this date!
It looks like it is going to be a
beautiful weekend! I hope you can get
out and enjoy it!
