This week we will learn digraph sh as in shark.  We will also begin th as in thimble and feather.  We will also be reading sheep books, Mrs. Wishy Washy books and Mrs. McNosh books!

In math class we will be sequencing events, beginning to count by 2’s and identifying odd and even numbers up to 10, measuring distance using non-standard units, and solving simple subtraction story problems.

In reading we will be reading the story Old MacDonald had a Woodshop.  This is an animal fantasy book and we will discuss the comprehension skill of character analysis.

We will shortly finish our unit on wood and paper.  Today we focused on paper.  Next, as part of the spring season and our FOSS Science curriculum, Kindergarten will be learning about Living Things and Animals.  Over the next month, we will be getting a close up look at Goldfish and Guppies, the life cycle of the painted lady butterfly, and maybe even some worms and insects!

When we return to school on Monday it will be day # 2.  We have gym on day #3.  Monday will be the last day that we have our special first thing in the morning due to PSSA testing!  We will be back to our regular routine on Tuesday!

I was shocked that our graduation pictures came in already!  I hope everyone is happy with them!

I am asking that you please have your child leave his/her baseball/softball hats at home!  I don’t want anyone to forget it in school and not have it for their very important game after school!
We are starting to practice our songs for graduation!  It won’t be long now!  I’m really going to miss this class!  We had a great year together!!  (Some of the kids don’t want to go to first grade!  They want to stay in kindergarten
